SHADAC Expertise
State Health Reform Assistance Network
SHADAC provided technical assistance to the State Health Reform Assistance Network ("State Network"), an initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that provides assistance to states as they implement key health reform provisions.
As part of this work, SHADAC has developed tools and quick-turnaround analyses related to Medicaid coverage expansions, health insurance exchange dynamics, evaluation design, and insurance coverage estimates.
SHADAC’s role has included helping states inform decision-making and ACA implementation by assessing data resources and data needs, supporting data readiness, and informing data application to help states use national- and state-level data to answer key policy questions and characterize target populations, markets, and state capacity. SHADAC also provides resources and information to states on data collection strategies including web-based surveys, focus groups, targeted surveys of specific populations, and key informant interviews.
