March 12, 2009. SHADAC has released a new issue brief, "The Impact of Wireless-only Households on State Surveys of Health Insurance Coverage." This brief examines the increasing prevalence of cell phone coverage in the U.S., and the consequent increase in the number of people who use their cell phone in place of a landline. The brief coincides with a report released by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) providing modeled state-level estimates of the wireless-only population. SHADAC researchers collaborated with the NCHS on this work.
