The Census Bureau released health insurance coverage estimates from the American Community Survey (ACS) showing 47.2 million people (15.5%) in the United States were uninsured in 2010. This change is a significant increase from the 2009 estimates of 45.7 million (15.1%) uninsured.
Published estimates are currently available only in table form from American Factfinder. Public use microdata will be available in about a month.
Estimates from the ACS and Current Population Survey (released earlier this month) will be presented and discussed in SHADAC's webinar on September 23. Register now for the webinar.
