December 08, 2016

SHADAC is pleased to announce the launch of eight new grants awarded through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s State Health Access Reform Evaluation (SHARE) grant program, which is managed by SHADAC.

The new SHARE grants support timely, policy-relevant research designed to improve the collective understanding of health reform at the state level and to inform policy and the reform implementation process. The grants focus on a range of topics, including Medicaid, private market coverage, employer-sponsored insurance, access to and utilization of care, health care costs and quality, and benefit design. SHARE will work with the funded projects to produce and disseminate timely, informative, user-friendly findings for state and federal policy-makers and agencies as well as leading researchers.

This is the fifth round of grants awarded under the SHARE program since it began in 2006 with the goal of supporting rigorous research on health reform issues at a state level. In total, we've awarded $9.7 million to fund 51 projects over the life of the program. The new SHARE grants, which range in duration from six to twelve months and in funding from $52,000 to $149,000, include the following projects:
