November 10, 2010: Articles from the SHARE special issue of Health Services Research, scheduled for hard copy release in February 2011, are currently available online via the Early View feature at www.hsr.org.
The SHARE HSR special issue—Using State-Level Evidence to Inform National Policy: Research from the State Health Access Reform Evaluation (SHARE) Program—is an ideal forum to highlight both SHARE supported research and its relevance to other state and national health access or coverage initiatives. The special issue advances SHARE’s goal of providing information to policymakers and researchers about the impact of coverage expansion efforts and timely guidance about how to effectively implement health reforms.
The special issue highlights topics such as the expansion of eligibility for young adult dependent coverage, outreach and enrollment strategies for public health insurance programs, efforts to simplify and streamline public programs, and initiatives to expand small group coverage. The papers included in the special issue focus on initiatives in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, Idaho, Kentucky, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Indiana, Missouri, and California.
