SHARE Announces New Grant Awards

The State Health Access Reform Evaluation (SHARE) initiative, a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has awarded ten new grants to fund research that addresses health reform issues and the early impacts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on coverage, health care utilization, and affordability.  

Through this new round of grants, SHARE-funded research will help fill the informational gap that state officials face as they work to implement many of the most significant elements of the ACA in ways that will best meet the unique health care needs of their residents. SHARE will work with the funded projects to produce and disseminate timely, informative, user-friendly findings for state and federal policy-makers and agencies as well as leading researchers.

This is SHARE's fourth round of grants since the program began in 2006 with the goal of supporting rigorous research on health reform issues at a state level. The new SHARE grants, which range in duration from 12 to 18 months and in funding up to $150,000, include the following projects:
