SHADAC is seeking applicants for the position of Research Coordinator (Research Professional 3). The Research Coordinator will provide professional research and technical support to research projects related to state health policy, healthcare delivery and payment reforms, and evaluation. This position will be part of a collaborative research team whose members work independently and contribute at key decision points based on their individual training and experience. This position will be responsible for setting up data collection systems, recruiting and coordinating participation of multiple individuals across multiple sites across the state, and ensuring that the research activities required under this project are completed. The work involves project management; interviews, site visits, leading focus groups, and other data collection activities; managing team meetings; coordinating human subjects review when needed; and ensuring accountability for timelines and project milestones.
Required qualifications include a B.A. in public health, public policy, social sciences, or a related field and at least four years of work expereience; or an advanced degree plus two years of expereience; or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight years. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in public health, public policy, sociology, or a related field; past work experience in a research environment; experience in professional report preparation; mapping skills and GIS experience; demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and staff and ability to interact with a wide range of people; ability to work within a high-paced, team-focused environment with multiple demands while ensuring high-quality work by self and staff.
The Research Coordinator will be a full-time position reporting to SHADAC's Deputy Director.
