Seven Measures Have Been Retired from State Health Compare

To maintain State Health Compare (SHC) as a relevant and current resource for data users, SHADAC regularly evaluates our collection of SHC measures to ensure they inform current health care and health policy discussions. We also want to be able to update measures consistently with recent data.

As a part of this process, SHADAC both adds new measures to State Health Compare and retires existing measures if they can no longer be updated, are no longer relevant to the current moment, are little used by SHC users, or fall outside of SHADAC’s areas of focus.

To that end, SHADAC has retired seven measures from State Health Compare. The measures will continue to live at their same web addresses (URLs), but they will no longer be updated or displayed in the list of SHC measures on the Explore Data page. These seven measures that have been retired are as follows:
