The infographic below features high-level findings of Medicaid/CHIP participation among kids in 2013 and 2014. These findings were taken from the Urban Institute report, "Children's Coverage Climb Continues: Uninsurance and Medicaid/ CHIP Eligibility and Participation Under the ACA" that was released on May 10, 2016.
This report looks at how uninsurance changed between the first year of implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)’s major coverage provisions. Larger gains overall were seen in states that expanded Medicaid under the ACA.
