Comparing Estimates of the Uninsured Across Surveys: Federal and State Numbers

A new brief from SHADAC researchers examines 2014 estimates of the uninsured across five federal government surveys, comparing numbers at the national and state level. The brief  is an annual update created for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The five surveys examined in the brief include

Two key tables from the brief are provided below. The first compares national uninsurance estimates across all five surveys for both the total population and nonelderly adults. The second compares state uninsurance estimates across four of the five surveys (the MEPS-HC does not provide state-level estimates) for the same groups.
