August 11, 2014: The US Census Bureau has announced its release schedule for health insurance coverage estimates from the Current Population Survey (CPS) and the American Community Survey (ACS). The schedule is as follows:
September 16, 2014
National 2013 income, poverty, and health insurance statistics from the CPS Annual Social and Economic Supplement
State-level 2013 health insurance statistics from the ACS
September 18, 2014
2013 ACS estimates for all geographic areas with populations of 65,000 or more
October 23, 2014
2011-2013 ACS 3-year estimates for all geographic areas with populations of 20,000 or more
December 4, 2014
2009-2013 ACS 5-year estimates for all geographic areas regardless of size, down to the block-group level
Public Use Microdata Sample Files
The Public Use Microdata Sample files for each ACS release will be posted one to two months after each public release.
SHADAC Webinar
SHADAC will host a webinar to discuss the 2013 state health insurance coverage estimates from the ACS and CPS in September.
SHADAC staff will present results from the ACS and CPS and guide users in accessing the estimates. Experts from the Census Bureau will join the call to respond to questions.
